Camp is wrapping up soon, but this last week of SCATS has plenty to offer to our campers! For example, tonight we will have our camp talent show, which will showcase around 20 acts from the kids. Everyone participating in the event got the chance to practice their act last night in the auditorium, and came back to Florence Schneider Hall feeling ready for tonight’s performance.
The talent show also allows some 3rd year campers to host the show as emcees. They work together to create a theme and a show-long skit that comes as a complete surprise to the audience members and is always a big hit. They put in so much work on top of their classes and various daily activities to make their performance the best they can for their fellow campers. It’s hard to keep a secret like that, but worth it for a great show! Campers also get to enjoy a surprise series of skits by the counselor group. We love getting the chance to get together and perform for them in our last few days all together as a camp.
Everyone is looking forward to tonight’s talent show, and I for one am so ready for our campers to show off their talents, including singing, playing instruments, comedy, and much more!
