Counselor’s Corner – Jackson Powers

After the excitement of the weekend Olympics and Paper Theater, Monday’s schedule settles campers back into the typical weekday. Monday’s optionals let us return to more structure activity now that everyone was back in the building. One of the highlights of the day was the Campus Tour. This is a classic SCATS and VAMPY optional, where several of the counselors lead a group around campus to tell them the history of campus. Whether it be the albino squirrels or the ongoing demolition, the campers were eager to learn more about the place they call during SCATS. Some campers even said they wanted to go to WKU for college!

Campers also put together puzzles in the Den, participated in a spelling bee in the Great Hall, and played ultimate frisbee on the South Lawn. Finally, the Olivia Rodrigo optional allowed for students to listen to some new music while they made friendship bracelets. Overall, it was a successful return to routine!
