Visitors and Dancing Create a Special Day for Pop Culture

by Fallon Russell

Pop Culture had an eventful day on Wednesday!

In the morning, WKU Social Media Marketing student Joey Dilliha spoke about his job as Head of Influencer Relations at Flipmass. Flipmass is a social media platform that connects major social media influencers to advertisers.

Kirker Butler, a writer for Family Guy and a SCATS alum, visited the Pop Culture and Writing classes after lunch. Kirker showed clips of episodes that featured his work and gave insight into the long processes of writing and animation required to create the show.

At the end of the day, our class “danced through the decades.” We had fun learning 12 basic dances all the way from the Foxtrot of the 1900s to the Whip and Nae Nae of the 2010s.
