The final day of the Bill of Rights class brought the opportunity to present Bill of Rights-related trial cases, petitioner and respondent arguments, and court decisions. Campers presented in one of three formats — an original children’s book, a PowerPoint presentation, or a mock trial script. All campers were able to participate in the mock trials, however. Arguments (based on facts, evidence, witness testimony, and constitutional law) were made. Passions flew! Objections were raised! Some were sustained, others were denied. Finally, a judgment was made in each case. Was the court’s opinion supported by constitutional law? Order in the court!
