The Last Days of SCATS

A few highly anticipated activities will be taking place tonight to celebrate the past two weeks of learning, friendship, and new experiences.

At 6:00 p.m. campers, counselors, and staff will gather in the Alumni Hall for a banquet, including a performance by the students of the Singing 101 class. Additionally, each counselor group will take pictures together, and campers are looking forward to dressing up for the occasion.

Following the banquet is a two-hour dance at the Downing Student Union, where the counselors have carefully curated a playlist for the campers to enjoy. Finally, after the dancing is done, campers will gather and watch a slideshow of photos taken throughout the last two weeks. The slideshow, which is 18 minutes in length, will feature every single camper and counselor participating in various activities, both in and outside of the classroom.

Tomorrow is the last day of class, and campers will be checking out shortly after their final class ends. It is a bittersweet day for us counselors. Though we are sad to see our campers go, we’re incredibly proud of the progress and growth they’ve exhibited in two short weeks. Each camper here at SCATS will undoubtedly leave this campus with new friends, new knowledge, and positive experiences.
