Teacher’s Talk: Welcome to MakerSpace

My name is Jessica Dilsaver, and I am one of the instructors in the MakerSpace course this summer. During the school year, I am a  Science and Accelerated Math teacher at Rockfield Elementary in Bowling Green, KY. I have taught for five years and recently finished my Master’s Degree from WKU in Library Media Science and Technology. I am very excited to teach MakerSpace this year, as I have always been the kind of person who asks “how” and “why” things work the way they do. This class is going to be all about exploration and discovery to answer these key questions.

In the same turn, students will be able to design and build their own projects, which takes this process to a different level entirely. I cannot wait to dive into the Maker Movement with your student!
