The first week of classes is finished! The past five days have been excellent. I can tell that the campers have really enjoyed their classes thus far, and I’m looking forward to what the upcoming week has to offer!
Once the last class ended Friday, the SCATS weekend was started off right with some fun activities. Friday nights are always exciting at camp because that’s when campers get to have pizza and go to the Preston Center! Pizza from Papa Johns was a fun alternative to the Topper Café, and campers enjoyed eating pizza while socializing with friends. Afterwards, campers went to the Preston Center, which was a great chance for them to escape the heat and exercise indoors. They participated in a variety of activities such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and wallyball, but the most popular activity was definitely swimming. Many campers took this opportunity to take a dip in Preston’s pool, and some even showed off their diving skills on the high dive! A great time was had by all, and even more fun things are in store for the rest of the weekend!
