Writing Day 5: Gettin’ Historical

VAMPY Writing Class

Friday, our writing class took a trip to the Kentucky Museum, which is situated on the WKU campus. We toured the many rooms, seeing the Duncan Hines exhibit, Civil War exhibits, and a collection of Kentucky paintings by Dorothy Grider. We even got to try on some period costumes! We also visited the upstairs room of the museum, which houses a furniture exhibit. My favorite exhibits were the quilt exhibit and the one showcasing photographs of different nations of the world. After walking through the museum itself, we stopped at the gift shop. All in all, it was a fascinating and entertaining trip.
