Building Roller CoastersWhat a great day! On Thursday, the students learned about one last concept before they begin work on their amusement park ride designs on Friday. We learned about potential and kinetic energy by building roller coasters. The students had a wonderful time while working in groups. They designed the track using pipe insulation and solved problems with their designs through trial and error. This was a great activity for the class because the students were able to put together¬†everything they had learned for the last two weeks and implement the information into their designs. They will also use the information they gathered from this lesson to help perfect their amusement park ride designs. We’re looking forward to seeing the designs that these bright minds will create!
