Amusement Park Physics Catapults into Simple Machines

The second week of SCATS started out with a great lesson on simple machines. The students used their knowledge about simple machines to build catapults. This was a great stepping point to learning how to use the available materials to build, and the students will use the knowledge they gained today to design and build their amusement park ride models on Friday. Next, we will learn about Newton’s Third Law of Motion. They can’t wait!
