Campers wear their business hats in Food Truck Frenzy

When you walk into the Food Truck Frenzy class, you see groups of kids working hard on their newly created food truck business. One student might be creating the truck while another might be putting the menu together, yet another team member might be working on the promotional aspect of selling their products.

Instructor Jessi Hampton gives students the freedom to make their own decisions and run with their ideas. Leiyah and Adalyn were working on an ice cream truck business called Smice. They were developing their menu when I dropped in. Marti had a Mac ‘n Cheese truck and was working on his pricing. Elijah, Conner, Trey and Owen were busy developing their deli truck named Portabl.Co with specialties called The Mashup, The Vegan Sub, and Bred. Possibly one of the prettiest designs of the day came from Paw with her Cocomelon’s Ice logo. The Watermelon Popsicle will be a highlight along with many other frozen treats.

It was fun seeing these future entrepreneurs explore new enterprises. One thing is certain, you can’t leave this class without feeling hungry!
