Walking into class, one can easily guess the topic of discussion with the giant roller coaster projected onto the wall. Discover campers in the Fantasy Theme Park Design class have already explored several theme parks, watched videos illustrating the types of rides, and had a discussion on what makes a good park. By the time visitors popped in, students were in heavy discussion about what their theme parks were going to look like.
Alex C. and Elly C. were working together to get their park ideas going. James C., Ramsey B., and Mason P. had decided to break up their park into different sections. They were discussing which themes they liked best. An ice theme? A forest theme? The possibilities abounded.
Others were sketching out some thoughts and ideas on paper. As teacher Jessi Hampton said, ‘If you build it, they will come!”
