Today, I had a blast! We started the day out watching an influential speech by a a very young girl. She voiced her opinion about how children and adults should be treated with equality. The speech was incredibly moving because she used very formal language as well as appealing to an adult audience. After watching the speech, we did an “I Believe” activity during which we wrote down quotes that started with “I Believe.” The negative quotes were written with a “negative” colored magic marker and the positive quotes were a positive color. This activity gave me an idea for a personal essay assignment that will soon be due. I’m planning to focus on the environment.
