I have been having a great time teaching these young people the basics of news broadcasting! We have studied interview techniques, video editing, audio editing, writing for broadcast, writing leads, public speaking, and many other aspects of the trade. This week, however, our classroom has turned into a news room with students pitching me story ideas as I act as editor of our news site, SCATS News. They have all been doing such an incredible job of filling the pages of our website with great articles, podcasts, and video packages.
