Objects In Motion- But Will It Fall In The Floor?

It was great fun to visit Kenny Lee’s Physics class today. They are discussing Newton’s Laws. While I was there, they were talking about the Law of Inertia, an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

Mr. Lee had several demonstrations of the definitions (mass, weight, volume, and inertia) he used in his lesson. The lesson was excellent and the students were fully engaged as you can see in the pictures. My finger was not quite quick enough to get pictures of the kids pulling the tablecloth out from under the dishes, but I do want you to know.. that they are pros at it now. So, watch out!
