The courtroom drama class, taught by Nancy Ashby, is off with a big bang. Students have already presented The Case of Mary’s Missing Lunch Box and the trial of Mom A. Bear and Babe E. Bear versus Golden Locks aka Gold E. Locks. The students have practiced proper courtroom behavior and learned the order of events in a trial. After comparing the two cases, students are noticing the difference between a good case and a poor one. SCATS campers are preparing their own cases for or against Jack Jones, accused of breaking and entering, stealing and the murder of Arthur Giant. We will continue tomorrow to prepare for the case and will present it to “the court” improv style, with no script!
