Camp Explore

Camp Explore, formerly known as The Summer Camp, is a one-week summer day camp designed for advanced ability and high interest children who were in grades one, two or three during the previous school year. The experience features hands-on and minds-on instruction to engage children in learning at advanced levels. Students explore a wide range of subjects from math and science to art and theater during their day. Registration is limited to 50 children.

Camp Innovate

Camp innovate, formerly known as The Summer Camp, is a one-week summer day camp designed for advanced ability and high interest children who were in grades three, four or five during the previous school year. The experience features hands-on and minds-on instruction to engage children in problem solving and learning at advanced levels. Students explore a wide range of subjects from math and science to art and theater during their day. Registration is limited to 50 children.

SCATS

For gifted students who have completed sixth, seventh, or eighth grade, SCATS presents a unique learning environment to explore new ideas, develop concepts, make friends, and share experiences.

SCATS provides a diverse curriculum and a wide range of enrichment experiences for about 200 middle school students every summer. A two-week program, SCATS provides both residential and nonresidential options. Nonresidential students attend classes and return home in the afternoon. Residential campers live in an air-conditioned residence hall on WKU’s campus.

Super Saturdays

Super Saturdays encourages students in grades 1 – 8 who are of high ability or have high interest in a topic to pursue their passions outside the regular classroom. Through a hands-on, minds-on approach to learning, students explore and investigate math, art, science, history, writing, music and performance under the thoughtful guidance of experienced teachers and in the company of enthusiastic, like-minded peers. Each year, over 1000 students enjoy the benefits of Super Saturdays.

VAMPY

VAMPY assembles some of the brightest and most enthusiastic seventh through tenth graders from counties around Kentucky, states across the nation, and countries all over the world. The VAMPY community reflects the diverse backgrounds, interests, and pursuits of its students who all have at least one thing in common: a love of learning. For gifted and talented students who crave knowledge and academic challenge, VAMPY offers a life-changing world of both learning and friendship.
