Counselor’s Corner – Mikah Burdette

Counselor’s Corner – Mikah Burdette

Friday evenings we head over to the Preston Center for an evening full of fun and activity. After a busy week of classes and optionals, it is the perfect way for campers to unwind, burn off some energy, and spend time together with friends.
The Preston Center offered something for everyone. Campers had the opportunity to spread out across the courts, where they could choose from a variety of activities. Whether they were shooting hoops, playing pickleball, or simply enjoying time with their friends, the gym was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and encouragement. At the same time, another group of campers got cool in the pool, enjoying a refreshing swim and cooling off after a hot summer day. It was wonderful to see everyone finding their own favorite way to spend the evening while still sharing the experience together.
One of the best parts of Friday nights is the relaxed atmosphere that settles over all the kids. Campers have the freedom to connect with one another, try something new, or simply enjoy being active. The Preston Center gave them the perfect space to do just that, creating memories that will surely be talked about long after camp ends.
