Tuesday: A Great Successor to Yesterday’s Fun
Following the morning routine of getting up and going to breakfast at Fresh Foods, campers at VAMPY were eager to start another day of learning. They went to their classes on various STEM subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry, Genetics, and Mathematics. The students had a unique break during lunch not seen yet on any other day, giving them a chance to eat Chick-Fil-A from the previously closed WKU stand. For those readers who don’t know, the main season of WKU semesters hosts a variety of restaurants outside of Fresh Foods that serve familiar favorites. After all classes were done in the afternoon, students rushed to meet their counselors in the lawn once again, delving into the deep topics they have taken from classes or have been pondering all day. Next, it was time for optional sign-ups before dinner, which included a casual competition in the card game Magic: The Gathering, nail polishing, outside sports, and an event to place “Warm and Fuzzy” messages in the entrance of Florence Schneider Hall. Community time was a blast with the students, for anyone could find a place to talk about their interests or play games on any floor of the building. The next few days promise even greater fun than today, and the campers couldn’t be more happy about it.
