Our first week of SCATS was full of discovery! Â The students were busy creating “memory trunks” of their experiences with the Sit-In Movements, Freedom Rides and protests of the American Civil Rights Movement. Â The students have been introduced to leaders within the movement that are often forgotten “soldiers” in the fight for equality. Â This week the students are engaged in developing their digital documentaries over an event or person they feel transformed history. Â The students are amazing and full of curosity. Â I truly value the time with the students and it has been such a wondersful experience to get to know these phenomenal students!!
