Crime Scene Investigation

There is a classroom full of future CSI agents at SCATS. Today’s lesson was all about fingerprints. Teacher, Angela Hill, gave some background on the use of fingerprints to solve crimes and described the different characteristics a fingerprint might have. They learned how difficult it can be to take a fingerprint when they had to take their own. Some were smudged, others to small, making it impossible to identify anything.

Equipped with their new knowledge, the students were given fingerprint kit so they could apply what they had learned. They had to study prints with a magnifying glass to identify who they belonged to and what type of print it was. Once they’d practiced identifying and classifying prints, they wrapped up things up by solving a case using what they had learned.
