Teacher’s Talk: Presidential Politics (July 9)

Today, we finished the presidency of George W. Bush & examined the 2008 presidential election.  We also watched how Saturday Night Live interpreted the debates of that election.  Students then went to the library to research their candidates in our three debate tournaments that each of them are participating in this week.  We watched students perform several of these debates today.  There is no study hall the rest of the week.

Tomorrow, we will examine the presidency of Barack Obama, finish our research in the library, & continue with our debates.

Just a reminder that parents will be picking up their child on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 and meeting with their teacher from 10:00 to 12:00 in that child’s classroom.  We are in Grise Hall, Room 344.  Look forward to meeting everyone on Saturday!
