Last night the SCATS campers had the opportunity to spend some time as a community on the fourth floor of the Downing University Center. They had the option of playing pool, arcade games, air hockey, ping pong, bowling, or simply hanging out and interacting. Between games of pool, I wandered about the floor and filmed some of the kids at play. Below are some of their exploits.

We’ve only just finished the third full day of SCATS, and I’m having a blast. Yes, the weather is sticky. Yes, I’m exhausted each night when I finally go to bed. Yes, I’m going through laundry at an alarming rate. Frankly, I wouldn’t trade it. I can’t wait to see what the coming days have in store for us.

  1. George this is an amazing video of the 4th floor activities. I loved watching one of my girls having a blast over at the ping pong tournament.

  2. George, Thanks so much for the video! It was awesome to see the boys and girls having FUN!!! We check the blog a couple times a day to see if there are any updates or pictures and to see a video was so exciting. We have been seaching the pictures for our son, Ben, and saw him the first time in the video. Even though we did not see his smiling face, we saw him having fun and that means so much to us. Loved the music too! What a fantastic blog. Thanks for taking the time to put the video together. It is greatly appreciated! Sally Riley

  3. Sally,

You’re quite welcome! Sorry you hadn’t seen Ben yet. Even with several people taking pictures throughout the day, it can be pretty tough to get all ~200 kids onto the blog. Luck o’ the draw, I suppose.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I did on a whim last night and it’s turned out to be pretty popular, so Cara has requested that I do some more. Hopefully I can post them on a fairly regular basis.

  4. George – Loved your video!!!! There’s only one problem, there is no picture of Grant and you’re his counselor! I’m beginning to think he has been kidnapped since I haven’t seen any pictures of him on the blog. Can’t wait to see your next video. Thanks for taking the time to do this for all of the parents. You rock!
