Even with all the rain, the past couple days have been packed with enriching activities and fun for all. Campers enjoyed celebrating our country earlier this week by going to a baseball game on the Fourth of July and attending a concert given the Kentucky Army band the next day. Many campers enjoyed the opportunity to participate in these events, even if it did mean a couple of walks up and down the hill.

Wednesday brought stormy skies, causing many activities to be modified for indoor play. Several campers enjoyed various card and board games including Magic: The Gathering and Monopoly. One counselor even organized an intricate game of tag to be played in the background of all the other activities. Overall, everybody had a great time despite being stuck inside our residence hall.

VAMPY is abuzz with excitement about the upcoming V-Con. V-Con happens on the second Saturday of VAMPY and is widely considered the most anticipated event of the camp. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities centered around a single theme. You may be wondering what the theme is, but, unfortunately, I can’t share that information at this time (it’s kept secret from all the campers until the day of). Suffice it to say, though, everybody is in for a wonderful time.
