SCATS campers build community through mandatory fun

By Tucker Covey

Outside of their classes, SCATS campers have started to form friendships through a variety of structured and unstructured activities each evening. Most nights, counselors plan a variety of creative “mandatory optionals” for the campers. It’s mandatory that each camper sign up for one activity, but optional which of the fun choices he or she selects. Each evening also brings community time and hall time for campers to have fun with each other and get to know their hall mates.
